Role Overview

Reverence Community Care is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research & Development (R&D) Officer to drive innovation, improve service delivery, and support

strategic business growth. 


The R&D Officer will identify opportunities for new services, research funding and grant opportunities, analyse market trends, develop new programs, improve operational systems, and support business development initiatives.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and turning ideas into practical solutions that enhance healthcare services and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Innovation

  • Research new healthcare trends, allied health innovations, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new services and programs.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis.
  • Research NDIS changes, government policies and industry updates.
  • Research on Australian logistics industry.
  • Explore opportunities to improve participant outcomes and service delivery.


Business Development

  • Research new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Identify referral sources and community engagement opportunities.
  • Support expansion into new geographical locations.
  • Research potential funding opportunities, grants, and community programs.
  • Prepare business cases for new initiatives.


Service Development

  • Assist in designing new therapy programs and community initiatives.
  • Develop proposals for new services.
  • Evaluate current services and recommend improvements.
  • Research participant needs and community demand.


Process Improvement

  • Review internal workflows and recommend efficiencies.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Research software and technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate administrative processes.


Quality & Compliance

  • Research NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguards Commission updates.
  • Support accreditation and compliance activities.
  • Assist in preparing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting allied health providers.


Marketing & Strategic Projects

  • Research digital marketing trends.
  • Conduct surveys and collect stakeholder feedback.
  • Analyse participant satisfaction data.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for management.
  • Support strategic planning projects.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Research, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interpret data and prepare recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience in healthcare
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Policy development experience.
  • Experience in quality improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of AI tools for research and productivity.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Power BI, Excel, Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and business process mapping
