Wharf Executive
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in ship spare clearance and port operations? Join our team and play a key role in ensuring the timely clearance and delivery of ship spares while coordinating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced maritime environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and attend to day-to-day ship spare part clearance activities.
- Monitor emails and liaise with relevant managers and PICS of the operations division.
- Arrange for timely clearance and delivery of ship spares upon vessel arrival.
- Collect necessary documents from airlines, shipping lines, freight forwarders, etc.
- Prepare documents, letters, Cusdec, and other paperwork required for customs clearance and approvals.
- Attend spares delivery and off-landing from vessels without delay.
- Handle export formalities for off-landed spares.
- Arrange re-export of ship spares if the vessel omits its call to Sri Lanka.
- Attend to other Customer and authority approval processes as instructed by management.
- Be on standby 24/7 to respond to operations and emergencies, including boarding vessels both in and outside port when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- GCE O/L & A/L qualifications.
- Valid CHA License is mandatory.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities.
- Good analytical and reasoning skills.
